For children age 2 to Grade 6
8:45 to 10:15 am on Sunday.
At KidZone, we want kids to be excited about coming to church! We want them to know the love and grace of God, and begin to develop their relationship with Jesus Christ in these early years.
The typical format includes:
- digital check-in at 8:45 am
- gather for large group in Room 3 for music and a Bible story (JK-6)
- small group time in assigned rooms (Little Blessings, age 2-3); JK-SK; Grade 1/2; Grade 3/4; Grade 5/6 Girls; Grade 5/6 Boy
THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1ST IS ‘FAMILY SUNDAY’ WHERE KIDS JOIN ADULTS IN THE SERVICE. THERE WILL BE SOME FUN ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS!
We are currently writing our own curriculum for KidZone to coincide with what adults are learning on Sundays. This is one way we are trying to invest in families so that the whole family is learning about the same things.
A few Sundays throughout the year are designated as “Family Sundays” Children in age 2 through grade 6 attend worship in the sanctuary with their parents, and worship is geared toward family inclusion. Nursery will still be available on these Sundays.
KidZone Friends is an initiative providing one-to-one care and support for youth with various special needs. This opportunity is available twice a month. Parents can receive respite and participate in worship with the assurance that your child will be cared for by trained volunteers from 9 to 10:30 am on Sunday mornings. If you have a teen with identified needs, or you are in the process of the assessment, KidZone Friends may be a great fit for your youth.
We are currently building monthly support teams for Friends. All that’s required is a love for kids and a willingness to learn some new skills. Training is provided. For more information or to discuss involvement contact Sandy Ianuzzo, 905-862-0864
Once a semester we have KidZone Mission Sunday. Children in grades JK-6 gather in Room 3 for stories and activities that teach them about how God is working in people’s lives all over the world. These Sundays will be led and facilitated by the mission ministry team.
Children birth through age 2 are welcome to be dropped off in our nursery at the 9 & 11 am services.
Trained Nursery volunteers are on hand to care for your little ones while you and your family take part in the worship service. Our church volunteers are trained in Leading with Care, a program that ensures your child’s safety while in our care.
When you sign a child into the nursery, you will receive a number for our digital monitor system. If at any time the child needs you during the service, your number will flash on the monitor at the front of the sanctuary. This allows you to enjoy the service without worrying about checking in periodically.
