Good Friday: Jesus is the Love of God

Sermon Questions Luke 23:44-46

  1. What happened at the cross? Was God angry? Is God angry now? If it was a Good Friday, what made it Good?
  2. Do you think that God is angry? Why or why not?
  3. How could the cross be God expressing his deep love?
  4. We used to, one at a time, pull the petals off daisies saying “(s)he loves me, he loves me not, he loves….”. Where in this day will you sit and say out loud; “He loves me, he loves me, he loves me…”?

Praying that we will experience God’s love and blessings on this day, as we await the celebration of Sunday.
