Prayer Wednesday

December 16, 2020   ·   Leave a Comment

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

I’m reminded that we’re a ‘Great Joy’ people. We don’t have little joy; we have great joy. And all our joy is rooted in the truth that God loved us enough to come, at great risk, to win us back to Himself.

This day, let the truth of God’s love—and then the joy that always comes with being loved—settle into your chest cavity. It settled into the shepherds, and they had to get closer. That’s the thing with Love and Joy: they move us towards each other, towards our neighbours, even towards our enemies. True joy spills onto ‘all the people’. Everyone stands to benefit when Christians are joyful.

May His Joy fuel your praying and our praying today.

Today in the town David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Joyful with you,

Andrew
