Let all who take refuge in you be glad;
Let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
That those who love your name may
Rejoice in you.
The beginning of a new year seems like a good time to rejoice! There are things to pray about and matters still unresolved, but there is also much for which to give thanks. There’s even a place for laughter and joy.
Colleen and I walk our sideroad almost every day and pray for you asking that our LORD would open the eyes of your heart to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Many mornings we’re joined by a flock of birds who fly synchronized (don’t know which species; ornithologists help!) and flutter from the trees to the middle of the road to the fields. We’re reminded how Jesus reassured us that our Father loves the sparrows and that we’re worth more than “many sparrows.”
O the deep, deep love of Jesus!
Praying and rejoicing with you this day.
