Prayer Wednesday

January 13, 2021   ·   1 Comment

But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
My heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the LORD
Because he has dealt bountifully with me.

One of my greatest aches in this pandemic is how our songs have been separated from each other and, I fear, even gone silent. We’re learning how to be the church studying and praying and giving when we can’t gather on Sunday morning; I pray we’re also learning how to sing even when there isn’t a band up front prompting our worship.

This day will you sing to the LORD in (y)our praying? Those of you who are blessed to be musical, sit down to the piano or pick up a guitar and raise your voice. Others will play music from Spotify and some will make a joyful noise. But sing. Don’t just listen to others sing. Bring it!

Singing seems to matter a great deal to our Father. I also believe it unlocks something in us and sets something right in the principalities and powers.

Praying and singing with you this day.

Andrew

    Thanks for encouraging us to sing Andrew. Singing lifts my soul, often allows me to feel Gods presence or realize anew what I know of His greatness, power, and love.
    With Covid 19 we are not aloud to sing with the children at the child care inside so when we go outside I burst forth in song. The children love to sing too.🙂
