GREAT THINGS

Come let us worship our King,
Come let us bow at His feet,
He has done great things
See what our Savior has done,
See how His love overcomes
He has done great things,
He has done great things

O Hero of Heaven You conquered the grave
You free every captive and break every chain
O God You have done great things
We dance in Your freedom awake and alive
O Jesus our Savior Your name lifted high
O God You have done great things

You’ve been faithful through every storm,
You’ll be faithful forevermore
You have done great things
And I know You will do it again,
For Your promise is yes and amen
You will do great things,
God You do great things

Hallelujah God above it all,
Hallelujah God unshakable
Hallelujah You have done great things
(REPEAT)

You’ve done great things
You have done great things
O God You do great things

Let the songs of the Lord,
Rise among us
Let the joy of the King,
Rise among us let it rise

GOD SO LOVED

Come all you weary,
Come all you thirsty,
Come to the well that never runs dry
Drink of the water,
Come and thirst no more

Come all you sinners,
Come find His mercy,
Come to the table He will satisfy
Taste of His goodness,
Find what you’re looking for

For God so loved the world that He gave us,
His one and only Son to save us
Whoever believes in Him will live forever

Bring all your failures,
Bring your addictions,
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting there,
With open arms

For God so loved the world that He gave us,
His one and only Son to save us
Whoever believes in Him will live forever
The power of hell forever defeated,
Now it is well I’m walking in freedom
For God so loved God so loved the world

Praise God praise God,
From whom all blessings flow
Praise Him praise Him,
For the wonders of His love

Bring all your failures,
Bring your addictions
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting,
God so loved the world

ALL THE POOR AND POWERLESS

All the poor and powerless,
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess,
And know that You are holy
And know that You are holy

And all will sing out hallelujah,
And we will cry out hallelujah

All the hearts who are content,
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothin’ left,
Will know that You are holy

Shout it!
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses.
That He is God (yeah)
(REPEAT)

We will sing out hallelujah,
And we will cry out hallelujah
We will sing out hallelujah,
And shout yeah

CORNERSTONE

My hope is built on nothing less,
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name
(REPEAT)

Christ alone cornerstone,
Weak made strong in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm He is Lord,
Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

He is Lord
Lord of all

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless stand before the throne

THE BLESSING

The Lord bless you
And keep you
Make his face shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord turn his Face toward you,
And give you peace

Amen, Amen, Amen

May his favor,
Be upon you,
And a thousand generations
And your family,
And your children,
And their children,
And their children

May his presence,
Go before you,
And behind you,
And beside you
All around you,
And within you,
He is with you,
He is with you

In the morning,
In the evening,
In your coming,
And your going
In your weeping,
And rejoicing,
He is for you,
He is for you

Webinar: Companioning Those in Grief

April 2, 2021   ·   Leave a Comment

Join us from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on Monday, April 26 to learn from Karen Simmonds, an experienced grief counsellor.
In the first part of our time together, Karen will lead us in exploring the profound effects of loss during COVID and how we can support those around us who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The second part of the evening will involve a Q&A session, discussing any questions you may have around supporting and caring for others in a season of grief and loss, or for yourself as you grieve. To help facilitate this, please include any questions you may have in the registration form below.

We're inviting people to submit questions ahead of time so that we can facilitate this meeting well. If you already have some questions, please share them here. (You will have other opportunities to share them, too.)

Christmas Eve Offering

December 13, 2020   ·   Leave a Comment

Christmas Eve offering has been a tradition for SPL. 100% of the funds donated go outside of the church to our community. This year, our Christmas Eve offering will help support the six different food banks in our area during the upcoming winter months.

All of us have been impacted in different ways by the challenges of this COVID season, but a special thank you to our local food banks. These organizations & their volunteers are part of our “frontline support network” providing our community with the “essential service” of access to food.

You can help families in our communities going through tough times right now. How?

  • Volunteering to pick up groceries for your local food bank with donated funds.
  • Dropping food donations into the bins at your grocery store.
  • Giving to our Christmas Eve offering.
  • If you’d like to volunteer at a local food bank in your area, please contact Ryan Lamoureux at ryanplamoureus@gmail.com.

Thank you for your generosity towards families who need a helping hand this season.

Christmas Gifts for First Nations Families

October 15, 2020   ·   1 Comment

In previous years, our church family has participated in the Servant Sock Project, where we fill and send Christmas stockings to children in remote First Nations communities. This year looks a little different: you can donate items to assemble into “family bundles” or your small group can sponsor an entire family bundle. These bundles will be given to families in First Nations communities who are experiencing grief or stress.

How can I help?

GIVE ITEMS FOR FAMILY BUNDLES

You can purchase and drop off the following items (new and unused) that will be assembled into bundles to be delivered to families in First Nations communities:

  • Family-friendly puzzles & board games
  • Craft kits such as model cars/planes, jewelry, art, small lego kits
  • Journals, pencil crayons, pens, colouring books
  • Personal care products such as hairbrushes, hair ties, soaps, deodorant, dental floss/paste/brushes (no liquids)
  • Comfort items: adult gloves, light throws, cozy socks

Please bag your gift items (no need to tie/seal bag) and list the items in the bag on an attached sheet. Donations can be dropped off at St. Paul’s Leaskdale, 12251 Regional Rd. #1, Leaskdale, during the following times:

  • Wednesday, October 28: 11 -1 pm and 5:30 -7 pm
  • Thursday, October 29: 2 – 4 pm and 5:30 -7 pm
  • Saturday, October 31: 1-2:30 pm

If you’d like to try this with your Small Group, Faith Arise has pre-identified four families with specific needs and children whose ages and genders are known. Contact us for details.
