Locally, that has included food banks, a local hospice, and a program for new Canadians. We grow crops on our property that are sold and the proceeds sent to feed hungry people around the world.
Globally, we have helped a sister church in the Dominican Republic run a day camp for marginalized kids; supported women in Northern Ghana become self-sufficient; and contributed to programs that eradicate tropical diseases in poor communities.

Effect Hope is the only Canadian Christian global health organization exclusively focused on serving the people affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Effect Hope delivers programs that address wellness in a holistic way. This includes physical and mental health, social wellbeing, and breaking cycles of poverty.
New Song Church in Hainamosa is the most significant long-term organizational partner that SPL has. We have had the privilege of sending some of our teens to Hainamosa to learn about discipleship in a majority-world country. We continue to support this church, and especially its leaders Jose and Gloria Lopez, in their creative efforts to make a difference in the lives of the very poor communities surrounding them.
SPL has supported GRID’s Babanayaa project, helping vulnerable women become self-sustaining through peanut farming. More recently, members of our church family have been connected with the launch of the Leyaata Hospital in northern Ghana.
LinC is committed to spreading God's love to refugees, immigrants and newcomers to Canada as they adjust to their new life. LinC carries out its ministry through established English-speaking churches in Canada.
TMA supports the training and professional development of teachers in underresourced areas in the Dominican Republic. Their commitment to sustainability has led them to invest in training trainers in the DR so that mentorship opportunities emerge locally.
Each year local farmers volunteer their time and equipment to raise crops on our church acreage. These crops are then sold and proceeds are donated to the Canada Foodgrains Bank (CFGB), which is involved in humanitarian and food security projects around the world. Sunrise offers confidential pregnancy and parenting support to women and their families in Uxbridge.
Water Ambassadors assist communities in developing a sustainable clean water source. They assist with locating and drilling wells and then provide communities with the training needed to maintain the equipment.
